Right I am going to assume that you know how to join your wool, that you have your own technique, or you are at least capable of searching for way to do this.  For the look I have, I carried my Cream through the entire hat and had two separately attached sections of the Light Blue at either end.  But whatever, I made this while answering calls in a call centre so I’m fairly certain you’ll have no trouble!

Key to my pattern.

DC = Double Crochet
Ch = Chain
CR = Cream
LB = Light Blue

Pattern

Create a magic circle with LB

Ch3, 11dc, join with Sl/St.

Ch3, 1dc in same, 2dc in each of next 2, join CR, 2 dc in next 3, pick up LB, 2dc in next 3, Pick up CR, 2dc in next 3, join with Sl/St.

Ch3, 1dc in same, Pick up LB, 1dc,2dc,1dc, 2dc, pick up CR, 1dc – 2dc x3, 1dc, 1dc, Pick up LB and 1 dc in same, 2dc, 1dc, 1dc, 2dc, Pick up CR, 1dc, 2dc, 1dc, 2dc, 1dc, 1dc. Join with Sl/St.

Ch3, 1dc in same, 1dc in next 2, Pick Up LB, 2dc, 1dc in next 2, 2dc, Pick up CR, (1dc in next 2, 2dc) x4, 1dc, pick up LB, 1dc, 2dc, 1dc x3, pick up CR, 1dc in same, (1dc in next 2, 2dc) x2, 1dc in next 2. Join with Sl/St.
